Auckland Coast to Coast walk. 16

The walk connects the west and east coasts of the North Island but runs roughly north south.
It is very popular and takes between 4 to 6 hours.
If you are from a cruise ship in Auckland's harbour think about starting from western coast (south) at Manukau Harbour. Which can be reached by bus or taxi. As the day progresses you will be heading toward the finish where your ship is berthed.
Head north along Normans Hill Road from Beachcroft Avenue to Grey Street and turn right and go to the Grey Street entrance (there are 2) of Jellico Park and follow either path to the Onehunga War Memorial Pool.
Follow Quadrant Road north, turn left at Trafalgar Street and right at Symonds Street and come out at "Royal Oak".
Cross over Mount Smart Road and continue north along the right hand
footpath on Manukau Road to the entrance to One Tree Hill Domain and
Cornwall Park.
