Daintre is located within the magnificant tropical rainforests of the Daintree National Park. As well it has immediate access to a number of beaches and the adjacent Great Barrier Reef.

Along with numerous tours originating from the major centres such as Cairns and Port Douglas a number of local operators also conduct exccelent tours of the village, the river and the surrounding hinterland.
