The Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, originating at the foot of the Kuranda range at Caravonica in Cairns, and terminating approximately 7.5 kilometres away next to the Kuranda railway station, transports visitors in state of the art, fully enclosed cable cars which silently skim just above the rainforest canopy.

Rising above the foothills of the Macalister Range, Skyrail offers unique views of Cairns, the northern beach suburbs and the Coral Sea, and a bird's eye view of the dense rainforest canopy, making it a photographer's delight.

At a number of locations along the journey, the visitor can disembark and take a leisurely stroll along boardwalks, which allow close-up encounters with the ecosystem.
