Granite Gorge Nature Park is located 12km from Mareeba.  The turnoff into the park is signed along the road to Atherton.

The gorge is made up of shaded, tree lined, fresh water streams which flows through a maze of huge granite boulders.

There are numerous picturesque water holes along the course of the creek suitable for swimmers of all ages.

A maze of walking trails, mostly easy to traverse, make their way over and through the boulders, providing magnificent views.

Granite Gorge is a "must see" destination for visitors to the Mareeba area, particularly those who appreciate unusual and spectacular sceenery and who are interested in the flora and fauna.
