CROCODILES IN THE WILD
near PORT DOUGLAS

The Mowbray River Bridge on the Capt Cook Hwy is just to the south of Port Douglas and on a low tide during the winter months a 3 metre long Saltwater Crocodile can be regularly seen from the bridge as you drive over it. Just south of the bridge is short road that takes you to where the old road bridge was.  You can stop your car there.

THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN FROM THE OLD BRIDGE, before it was demolished, YOU CAN SEE THE HWY BRIDGE IN THE VIDEO.

SAFETY NOTE: This is in a 100 KM Zone do not stop OR slow down whilst you are on the highway bridge.
