On the Mowbray Street is the former 1940's Mossman Court house now known as the Clink Theatre and the Divisional Board's first loco Faugh-aBallagh.
The Bank of New South Wales was the first bank established in Port Douglas in 1878 for the inland mining field gold escort.  It closed in 1896.
